Event platform

ElasticON Global is an annual end-user conference to attract technologists. The event will showcase content from Elastic leaders, experts, partners, and customers. It will be a virtual, multi-track, multi-language user conference. The goal is to use MeetingPlay's platform technology and customize it to give Elastic user experience.

Login UI

The team built multiple ways for users to log in depending on there relationship with the company including current customers, employees, partners, investors, community members and net new registrations.

Result: The event generated 25,601 registrations (170% of 15,000 target), 12,273 unique users attended the live event (175% of 7,000 target)

Dashboard

One of the goals of this platform is to enable users to discover how Elastic can help them innovate quickly and deliver flexible, reliable solutions at scale. The intent of the dashboard is to give them quick links to reach important destinations and the other half is customized as per user session preferences.

Feedback from attendees: “I really learned a lot from the hands-on workshop on Kibana. Highly recommended!”

Top features

The three-day conference had a total of 349 sessions, including 19 keynotes, 200 breakout sessions, 9 training workshops, and 31 AMA/collaboration sessions across all geos. Attendees from 158 countries participated in the event. Following are the features of the platform:

Live sessions

The sessions were pre-recorded, edited and then posted in different timezones as per user preference. The widgets we chose in the UI were to give a good balance between the video with the ability for viewers to ask question, find overview and give feedback. There is also a live commenting option for networking capabilities.

Overall, ElasticON Global surpassed our expectations for attendance. Key learning from the event is that attendance for a multiday online event is highest on the first day and declines each following day.
